Try Fozzie's. You won't be disappointed.
It was insane. My wife, who hates all but 2 of those ingredients, thought it was one of the best sandwiches she had ever had.
Fozzie's might be the best sandwich shop in St Louis. Even some of the hidden gems don't stack up to Fozzie's.

They have a zillion options, some classics and some unique. For instance, I had a "Picnic" sandwich the other day. It was a special. Lightly battered chicken, slaw, some kind of a mustardy delicious sauce, pickles, bbw potato chips (on the sandwich) and cheese.
Great sandwiches. Not so great wait times. Even when they don't seem busy, it seems to take forever. Also, the dead herb garden on the wall is unsightly. Great sandwiches, though.
I work just down the street, and it takes so.e serious self control not to eat here every day. The sandwiches are delicious, and the portions are extremely generous. Usually one sandwich can last for two meals. They have ski fountain sodas too, which is always a plus. Get the Parmesan chips!
Last thing, their homemade slaw is ridiculously good.
Fozzie's is absolutely outstanding. Do yourself a favor. Stop eating competitors sandwiches. This isn't fast food. These are delicious, home made sandwiches.
Great option for vegetarians. I had the veggie burger and it was tasty! And their house made chips are delicious as well. I will definitely be back.
